Besides business, our quarterly meetings have included canoeing, bird watching, informative field trips with knowledgeable leaders, and a social evening.

The Council periodically sponsors birding/nature tours. Council members are given preference in joining these popular trips. Our latest trip was to the islands of Trinidad and Tobago in May of 2003. This time frame allowed our group to see nesting Leatherback Turtles, and baby hatchlings, on the beach. The group stayed at the Asa Wright Nature Centre in Trinidad.
